What is I Want A Map?
I Want A Map provides businesses and people with a cheap, quick and easy service to add maps to their web site. We also offer consultancy for any of your mapping requirments, including data storage and maintenance.
What sort of maps do you provide?
All of our mapping is based on the free mapping products from Google and Yahoo! Their products can be customised by developers accessing a powerful set of tools. In simple terms we can provide customers with everything from a static map with a marker, to fully dynamic and interactive maps, allowing users to place photos, do routing, plot information from a database, see satellite imagery and more.
How do you deliver your work?
That is entirely up to you. For simple maps we can give you the code. For more complex mapping requirments (for example, reading data from a database or integration information from other sites, such as the weather), we can either work with your developer or modify the site, with your permission.
Is the code you write mine?
Absolutely! We develop mapping according to your specification, it is fully integrated into your site, you do not need to connect through our service to use it.
Will you support and maintain my maps once installed?
Again, this is entirely up to you. As information changes the code to generate your map may need updating. We are happy to discuss these requirements with you.
